Nicci Sawyer
Nicci Sawyer instructs obedience classes here at K9CC that focus on foundation work and positive reinforcement along with Canine Good Citizen and Public Access skills, and is also one of the Board and Train trainers. She believes strongly that developing the strongest relationship with your dog through training will not only add to the quality of your dog’s life, but enhance the quality of yours. Nicci began training dogs in 2008 while working with the Paws in Prison program in Lockhart Texas, however life took her away from training full time again until 2019. She’s still involved with the Paws in Prison program which is one of her true passions. She is also one of the trainers with K9 Service with a Twist, she truly sees it as her way of giving back to those that gave so much.” It is truly rewarding to be able to train a service dog for a veteran, and then watch them grow as a team.”
Nicci feels that there is no bad dog, just misunderstood, and that bad behaviors can usually be corrected through building a confident and trusting dog. This takes time and patience. She is very excited to be one of the newest trainers at K9CC and is honored to be part of such an amazing team of trainers.
